Automations
Set up event-driven automations to generate and review product visuals automatically when products sync.
Overview
The Automations tab (/automations) enables hands-free catalog photography workflows. Instead of manually opening Studio every time a new product is added to your store, Epox can automatically trigger image generation jobs using your saved templates.
Builder
To build an automation:
- Navigate to Automations and click New Automation (
/automations/new). - Define the Trigger: Choose what event activates the flow:
- New Product Synced: Triggers whenever a new SKU or product imports from your connected WooCommerce or Shopify store. - Category Match: Restrict the automation to trigger only for products belonging to specific categories (e.g. *Sneakers* or *Sunglasses*).
- Select the Action & Template: Pick the saved Template or Generation Settings pack to apply (e.g. *Clean Studio on White* or *Lifestyle Outdoor Sun*).
- Configure the Approval Step: Decide whether generations require human review:
- Email Approval: Epox sends an interactive email to designated reviewers with thumbnail previews. Reviewers can approve or reject the visuals with a single click without logging in. - Direct to Library: Automatically saves successful generations straight into your workspace Library.
Monitoring
Open any automation (/automations/[id]) to view its audit log:
- Run Status: See successful runs, pending email approvals, and failed attempts.
- Retry Failed Jobs: If a generation failed due to a temporary provider timeout or missing product photo, click Retry to re-run the specific job.
- Pause or Edit: Toggle an automation active or paused at any time without losing its configured rules.
